Next summer, the peaceful shores of Kaukolan Lake will come alive with the vibrant echoes of its past and present as we celebrate the 100th anniversary of our beloved village. The Centenary Festival, spanning an entire weekend, is our grand tribute to a century of shared history, resilience, and community spirit.
The air will be filled with the dynamic energy of competition, featuring a diverse range of sporting events. From the splash of rowing boats cutting across the crystal-clear water to the cheers for the annual beach volleyball tournament, there is an activity for every age. For the little ones, a lively fun-run promises laughter and excitement along the scenic lakeside path.
Music will be the soul of the festival, with a stage erected at the water’s edge. The program is a rich tapestry of sound, starting with the nostalgic harmonies of a local folk orchestra, followed by the electrifying beats of modern bands, ensuring a melody for every generation to enjoy as the sun sets over the lake.
Beyond the entertainment, a profound cultural layer will be unveiled. A dedicated heritage tent will showcase fascinating historical photographs and local artifacts, telling the story of the village's evolution from a small fishing hamlet to the thriving community it is today.
To ensure a safe and enjoyable festival for all, participants must adhere to the following guidelines:
